There is no email address on this site, and that is deliberate rather than unfriendly. An address published on a public page is collected by automated scrapers within days, and once the mailbox is full of junk the genuine messages are the ones that get lost. A short form reaches us reliably, and it asks the couple of questions that make a report easy to act on.

What the form is for

The first question is simply which of these you are writing about. Every one of them is welcome.

• Bug Report — An answer that looks wrong, or something that will not work. The most useful message we get. Tell us the calculator, the numbers you put in, and what you expected instead.
• Feedback — A question or a label you had to read twice, or anything that confused you. That is our mistake rather than yours, and it is worth telling us about.
• Feature Request — A calculator you were looking for and could not find a simple version of anywhere, or something you wish this one did.

What makes a message easy to act on

None of this is required — send what you have and we will work with it. But if you can include it, these are the things that turn a message into a fix:

• Which calculator it was, by the name shown at the top of the page
• The numbers you put in, and the answer it gave you
• What you expected to see instead
• Your phone or computer and which browser you use, if something looked broken
• A screenshot, which is worth a great deal

What happens to what you send

The form is a Google Form, so submitting it sends your answers to Google and then to us. Only put in what you are comfortable sharing — you do not need to give a name or an email address unless you would like a reply. Nothing you have typed into a calculator is attached to your message; those numbers never leave your own device.

What we cannot help with

We cannot work out your homework, your tax, your loan or your official grade for you, and we cannot tell you what result your school will record — only your school can do that. What we can do is make sure the tool you used to check it is correct and understandable, so please do write if it was not.

Before you write

The common questions page answers most of what people ask, including what percent actually means, how to work out a tip or a sale price, and what happens to your numbers. If your question is already there you will have an answer immediately instead of waiting for a reply — and if the answer there is unclear, that is worth telling us about too.
